Situated directly behind Hastings Street is the river suburb of Noosa Sound. As its name suggests, it is a community of riverfront and canal front streets situated on the Noosa River. The network of streets in Noosa Sound has been created to maximise the waterfront potential of this area, making properties in this area sought after by many, either for a family home or a property investment.  There are also some fabulous homes that are not on the waterfront.

There are many notable streets on Noosa Sound. Noosa Parade is the main tree-lined avenue running all the way from Hastings Street to Noosaville. As a result the homes and apartments along this stretch attract amongst the highest prices in Noosa.  Another prominent street in Noosa Sound is Witta Circle - a residential island just behind Hastings Street and connected by a short bridge to Noosa Parade.  The top price paid to date is $8.25mill.

Noosa Sound has its own intimate shopping and dining precinct overlooking the Noosa River at Quamby Place. Restaurants here such as Ricky's, Wasabi and Rocksalt present some of the finest dining choices in Noosa and will offer you an alternative to those restaurants in Hastings Street. 

Real Estate in Noosa Sound as a whole has proven to be an excellent investment. Historic charts show compounding growth of around 20% per year for waterfront property on The Sound during the heady years. This has been happening since its inception in 1978 and rivals property anywhere in Australia - including Sydney Harbour.
