The population of Peregian Springs in 2006 was 1,675 people. By 2011 the population was 3,952 showing a population growth of 135% in the area during that time.

Given its location, there are a large number of prestige homes.  The highest house sale for the 12 months to the end of February 2013 was $1,138,000.

According to figures from the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ), the majority of people are owner-occupiers with 67 per cent owning their property as opposed to 33 per cent of private dwellings being rented.
