As you may have noted in my previous article there has been huge growth in Peregian Springs since 2006 with the population doubling over that period. Just meeting families in the area on my recent price drive has been an absolute pleasure. There is a real sense of community spirit in addition to the lifestyle benefits Peregian Springs has to offer.
It is exciting to see so much activity with Little Saints Early Learning Centre building an extension to add on another two classrooms in 2014. Construction will begin in June with completion due in December. This will bring an additional 48 classroom spaces, which is good news for those who have been on a wait list for some time.
In a recent Bondi Vet show on Channel 10, aired on Saturday 8 June 2013 featuring the Davies family and their little dog ‘Poppy’. Students at the Peregian Springs State School, principal Gwen Sands stated in a BlogSpot ‘I am so proud of the Davies family, India and her sister, Sienna, for their care of this little dog, and for getting involved in something bigger than themselves. The learning, the personal satisfaction and the skills India and Sienna now have will stay with them for a lifetime.’ With my girls at the school it is so encouraging to see this level of care in the community.
